True, they don't. I was recently out there at the Palazzo. Their casino has tons of table games. They also have areas where it's a computer image of a dealer dealing computer poker, black jack, and roulette. I played a little at the computer black jack and roulette. While it was the same game, it just wasn't the same feel. I like interacting with the dealer and other players at the table. You just don't get the same interaction when the dealer is a computer or robot.
Some of the people there prefer the computer/robot.
I guess dealers are getting a taste of what the manufacturing industry has gone through. -
Bank tellers are also a thing of the past.

I have been to Winstar one time, and wasnt aware of the situation with all the Computers. I gamble on sports, but stay away from games with terrible odds normally. I went for the experience. I wanted to throw the roulette ball / toss the dice and all that kinda stuff.
I dont think I'll be back for the gambling again. Just ruined the environment in my opinion.
If a Robot can do your job, it is probably not a good idea to strike.Comment

Yea, I dont really follow the logic either.
It seems inevitable that a lot of these lower end jobs will soon be replaced. Truck drivers, fast food employees, casino workers, telemarketers, I guess the lower end employees felt like speeding up the process would be good for them

Unfortunately, these low end workers cant understand why they are low end workers and this get them into trouble from time to time.

Honestly, those are the folks pushing the hardest for socialism.
But to be fair, the amount of jobs is decreasing while, while the workforce is increasing (especially if you include drones and robots). I don't have an answer, but I sure wouldn't be walking off of my job, if I was about to be replaced with a robot.Comment

Casinos are definitely moving more and more towards computers.
Heck, slot machines (mostly computerized now, but some are reels) make more money in a casino than all other table games combined.
It seems that about half the roulette games are computerized now. I've also see electronic craps and black jack. Obviously, video poker has been around a pretty long time now.
As someone stated previously, most of these electronic versions of table games simply are not has fun as you loose the camaraderie type feel with the other players and the dealers one normally gets at a table. I'd say it's very apparent in a game like craps.Comment
