Yep, that was a good show Rick! You should win just for effort!

Just hope wife understands the scientific and himanitarian nature of the can's sacrifice.

      Thanks.
Wife hasn't noticed the trashcan yet. Maybe she won't. LOL

      Thanks.
I wasn't sure I was doing it right, so I decided to at least make it interesting.

      Rick

      P.S.
I love my bow & arrow setup.

Gulp - She noticed the split in the trashcan.

I even used a paper towel, and alcohol, and cleaned all the lines & spots off it.

        I'm playing dumb.

I'll have to own up to it though if she starts blaming the kids.

          Stick with "science".

"Had to demonstrate the most effective way to eradicate swine that happen to be quartering away. This small sacrifice will help untold numbers of hunters make better shots and recover their quarry more quickly to feed more hungry children."

"So you SHOT the trash can???? Really???"

"Well, yeah. Was kinda thinking a new black one would look nicer, anyway."

All I had was a computer box which wasn't quite turned at a 45 from the ladder but fun none the less!!

Good shot, Slew! That box will work just fine. One of those Black Label lean hogs.

I'm gonna blame a shaky ladder for my shot today (and be glad I called for multiple days to improve).

Was 5-1/4" forward and 2-3/8" low, so 7-5/8" total off.

Couldn't end on that, so scrounged another old box and steadied the ladder. After a couple of practice shots, ended with this. Feeling better.

Day 3: finally a decent shot. Shaft path is 1/2" forward, with entry 1/8" below line. Total of 5/8". Will take that.

Got better from all of Rick's discussion about anchor consistency and release reliability. May still say Rick leads due to his selfless and intrepid sacrifice of the wife's trashcan for our greater good.

I am NOT going to shoot my wife's trash can again just to try to beat this.

                            Great shot.
