    If you have hogs, be prepared to reposition your 'cover logs' regularly - they tend to 'redecorate' your feeder area for you.

      Dont worry too much about them ducking the string. Not much you can do about that. Its gonna happen. Concentrate on prevailing wind direction and your stand set ups. Just make sure you keep that feeder full and running.

        OK with the barrel would insulating it keep the sound from spooking them? Also plastic or metal, and what camo pattern?

          Insulating ANYTHING without a buddy heater being used is a WASTE of time. Also Plastic seems to hold up better to impact from the Pea gravel in the broadcast feeder. If you're hand corning then there is no need to waste corn in the broadcast feeder as well, but the noise really draws them in.

            They duck on the sound, and I likewise think they duck faster when their head is already down. This was only 10-12 yards and she nearly pulled a complete matrix move.
