    That is a male (reddish head) three toed box turtle.

      Some of their legs and heads are real colorful.. I see quite a few around the mayhaw trees on my land when the berries are falling..

          Thanks for all the replies. I found his red color interesting. I looked content and was not near any roads so I snapped his picture and let him be.
