What went wrong for you this weekend?

For me:

4 wheeler broke down

Borrowed a buddies 4 wheeler, it broke down

A pack rat chewed up an ABS wire on my truck

1 trail camera didn't work

Had a bad sd card in my video camera

Lost my phone for about an hour

Found a tick attached to the middle of my back that I couldn't reach

Didn't kill anything.

A lot of bad, but it was great to be in the woods again.

I didn't go to a stand, which greatly reduces your chance of shooting a deer. We really don't have our new place ready so I went and shot a limit of dove instead.

Saturday I was off bad! I shot at dove all morning lots of them! I was having issues seeing them or picking them up with cloud cover. No excuse for the afternoon I just missed a lot! Whole lot. Sunday picked up the semi-auto and went to town. Had a limit by 7:45 !!

Didn’t spray down for scent, got winded

Lost felt on my rest at elk camp a couple weeks ago,never replaced it, buck heard my draw and spooked.

Spooked a doe reaching for my TBH transponder to check on Nursejenn’s live hunt

Got to the blind 45 minutes late, spooked deer heading to blind

Kicked my cup when rotating in the tripod to get a shot off.

However, despite everything, we connected on this freak spike Sunday night!

didn't get to hunt opening morning (working), went out sunday morning and my two target bucks were there; got ready to draw on one and somehow managed a sniffle, which sent them away at a fast pace. , will try again in the a.m.

Got to my pop up the one evening I can hunt and there was a hive of red wasps, poked it down with my camera tripod before I got in and they left. Kept swatting them out while in the blind when they tried to regain entry, other than that my Deer didn’t show so was a pretty uneventful sit.

Absolutely nothing went wrong this weekend. We babysat our 2 grandsons all weekend long. We made T. rex teeth outa plaster, moved some dirt around, ate junk food, made grilled cheese sandwiches on the fire pit. Nope, everything went perfectly! The deer will always be there. Times like these go by too quickly.
