To Cull or not to Cull

Got two different deer low fence Coleman.
First deer up swept 8 I think he is 4.5 but could be 3.5. Only have pics have not laid eyes on him. 2nd deer looks to be a corn pig and nothing 8. What say the GS. Bye the way we shoot 8's at 4.5

    IMO.
If and only if you can confidently say the first buck has a pretty good chance at living out the rest of the season, id let him walk. I put him at a big 3.5. Has good mass and great tine length. Should he make it and spring/summer not a drought, he will be a stud next year.

2nd deer would take an arrow like a champ, but he'd still take it. 2nd deer, all day, no question.

First deer is older than you think he is.

Shoot the short tined buck if you have to shoot something. Otherwise, let them both go.

If the first one is nothing special to you, let him go being this late in the season. With his tine length and mass, never know, could be a good one next year.

Do y’all have some better looking deer?
              More points, heavier, taller?
If so, I would have advised killing those two in early October.

The tall racked deer will get another year. Got a couple of lease members comming down
next weekend and want to make sure he is not on the hit list. I believe he is 3.5 but some pics I have you will think otherwise. This deer had been nocturnal until lately so trying to make a hit list on some culls.

                      What was the outcome?

X2. Old deer ran down from the rut IMO.

Hard to tell on the first buck, but #2 is a shooter!

Do yall feed and have a management plan in place? If heavy feeding, I'd pass both.

No reason to let the short tined buck live,he should of been shot already
