I hunt less than a mile from the entrance. Get in early, stay all day, and hunt til dark. The bucks are cruising hard and you’ll probably see rutting activity by the end of the hunt. Good luck! There’s some bigguns out there

I hunt about 5 miles from the entrance myself, and the bucks have been pushing does hard the last two weeks. Does are gobbling up the acorns. Find a good oak tree and sit all day. If you do that and the ladies show up, you should have quite a few buck sightings!

Absolutely. Watched 2 does eat acorns for 25-30 min yesterday afternoon. And I mean face down azz up never came up for air eating [emoji23] Unfortunately no bucks came out to play.

It rained periodically for the first evenings hunt after orientation/ set up. Everyone one saw wildlife. The staff at Gus is impeccable, their preparations for hunters and the work they do far exceeds anything I've previously experienced before. Undoubtedly a knowledge and expereinced
staff!! I'm impressed. Cant wait for the morning!
