At my house couple of hours ago, fresh crappie, sand bass, of ra with fries and hush puppies!

Drive a little further to Mexia and stop by Farm House. Jim's Crispy Fried Chicken also at Mexia has good fried catfish too.

The best place for fish is in Paris, Tx, a place called Fish Fry.

I'm going to have to say The Fish Place in Pecan Gap or The Feed Sack in Windom. People come from Dallas and beyond to eat at both places and is better than Fish Fry. Give them a try
