Now I'm envious. More details on the catch. When, where, artificials or sand fleas etc. Best fish in the Gulf to me

Good times! That first pic (blurry) looks like a sail catfish. Man, I got hit by a dorsal fin a couple years ago and it hurt 5x worse than an asp. No joke. My knuckle hurt for 4-6 months. Muy malo.

Have a great time. Will be there in a week.

Nice. We’ve been here all week and fished our brains out. We’ve been coming here for 20+ and I’ve always been able to find fish. Very little luck this week. What did you catch that pompano on? Y’all have fun this week

Sand flea fish bites, on a sabiki rig. So windy and rough we can't keep bait out. I'm about to go boil some crabs!

Yep. Gafftop. My little guy caught it yesterday in the ship channel south of lake Charles. That fish about pulled him in!! I had to help him get it in.

Still super windy this morning, waves even bigger than yesterday. Hoping it will lay down a bit this evening. 20+ South wind, big rip current, we tried tying two 4 oz satellite weights on and it still wouldn't hold out there.
