Far as dewberries, places where my bride and I picked upwards of 10 gallons last year, we'll be lucky to pick 2-3 gallons... frost got us pretty bad out on the Prairie... the tame blackberries just keep blooming so they will produce and being primocane, the new growth will produce in the Fall... We had berries all the way up into October last year... First year we planted them, we picked enough fresh blackberries to make a cobbler as dessert for our Thanksgiving dinner...

Ours aren’t even swollen up yet.
I’m guessing another 2 weeks until they are ready. Haven’t really checked past the small little early patch I use as an indicator of when they’re ready.
My sister also has a decent patch of natives in her yard that need another 2 weeks.

So far this year, I started finding them two weeks ago. It took me three days of picking to fill the first container, which turned out to be four cups. My wife made a dewberry cobbler with those. Since then, I have gone out picking dewberries every two to three days. I have filled a container every time. We have gotten about 16 cups of dewberries at this time. I think we will get another two, maybe three containers of dewberries, before they are done, we still have a lot of small green berries at this point, even still have flowers on some plants. I have not even looked on the back of the property for dewberries yet, probably look some this weekend when I am out killing more stinging nettle.

I went out and checked our normal blackberry and Chickasaw plum patches this morning. The Chickasaw plums (and Mexican plums for that matter) must have been hit hard by that late freeze this spring, because there’s hardly a plum on them. The blackberries are bearing well, but the 29 inches of rain we have already had this year has the grass and wildflowers over waist tall, so it is dang near impossible to get to them. I spent about 10 minutes and picked a few cups worth before I decided to wait on a day I had blujeans, bug spray, and gloves.
