Well all this talk and the bug bit me.

Settled on the TCL 55 inch roku tv. Got it from Walmart for $332 after tax (refurbished).

Wow! Great picture. I'm already watching planet earth 4k on netflix.....pics don't do it justice.

        I picked up a Samsung 4K UHD
        great picture
BUT, in order to use 4K, you need a speacial cable box
which is $35 a month from Comcast
then Netflix , you need to pay more to get 4k
or watch on blue ray player disc

so you really dont need the 4 K

Visio has been good in our smaller TV.s.
But the Samsung 55” we bought last year works well so far.
Sorry to hear Samsung might have been a bad choice.

I ended up going with the E-65 Vizio ultra 4K hd

It’s freaking awesome! Bought a sound bar/system to go with it and it man!! Makes watching movies and sports fantastic at home.

The 4K stuff on Netflix is top notch viewing

Total out the door about $1,000.00 at Sams - tv/sound system/warranties

I appreciate all the input on this thread.

Sorry about giving you the new tv bug Team America! Lol
