Took this deer last night in east texas (Rusk County). I had bow hunted him all bow season but he never came out in daylight. I hunted on a highline so I could see further with the gun and he came out 30 yds from me! He was chasing doe around 5:45pm and I hit him on the run as he was about to exit the opposite highline. Quartering away 45 degrees; Entered the liver and exited the opposite front shoulder. He crashed 40 yds from initial shot. I'm getting him scored today. This was near Henderson, Tx , low fence, free roaming, non typical deer! I'm entering him in the Texas Big Game Awards after I get him scored today from an official scorer.
