    ExxonMobil is still hiring

I received this email at work today, looks as if they are still testing. There should be alot of people retiring in the next couple of years so the testing continues.
When I hired in they tested around 2-3000 people with about 150 getting interviews and the actual hire class was around 40. I know its tough odds and I was very fortunate to get hired with my limited education but the benefits are very good along with working 4 on and 4 off and alot of OT depending on the unit.

If you are a deadbeat now then please do not apply, beleive it or not I was once a hard working person until I got spoiled.

Seriously though if you decide to apply I would be happy to answer what questions I can and good luck.

I really hope that someone does benefit, for my particular situation this job really was a blessing about 11 yrs ago.

BTW, I tested three times during the late 80's and early 90's before I got hired, but then again I am not sure if I passed the test with a high score or not. If you are off that day what do you have to loose?

bttt, if you are interested then don't wait as they are hiring at the moment but I don't think this will last but a year or two or atleast until the stock goes back up to the 90's.

Yes they can, but I will be honest it seems that most of the people that are hired are in their mid 20's to mid 30's. I got hired in when I was 30 and I know of three people in my unit that were hired in the last 10 yrs that were less than 20.

ExxonMobil I beleive is one of the few that are still hiring without a process technology degree but not sure how long that will last.

If you have some industrial background it will be a plus, atleast take the test and get in the network. I tested twice myself before I ever got an interview.

I went and took the test on Friday the 24th and they told me I passed. I cant believe how many people came in there to take the test and left because they couldnt stay there the whole time the test required. In this day of time because of our economy to be hired by Exxon would be worth the wait. Lethal Injection do you know how many they are going to hire out of the 1100 that took the test and passed? I am currently an operator for Davis Petroleum Corp. but my company is an Exploration company so in Five years they may or may not be here so when im in my mid 30's I dont want to have to be looking for another Job and Exxon has many opportunitys to move up.

Sorry but I have no idea how many they plan to hire or when, it seems like there has been a new hire group every 6 months or so for the past 3 years with about 40 people to a group. Good luck
