    Hat shaping question

Whats the typical charge to get a hat shaped. I havent worn a cowboy hat in a long time and mine needs to be shaped in a bad way. Back in the day the shapers at stores used to work on tips. Is it still the same? If so, what's an appropriate tip?

Free. All you need is steam, or even just hot water.

Last one I had done the hat needed a little shaping and cleaning. He spent about 10-12 minutes on it. Dropped a $10 on he counter and he seemed very appreciative.

Keep working with it till you like it. Give it a good brushing first.

                  Easy to do yourself

Cavender's still will shape for only a tip. I'll throw them a $5 on some simple touch-up work. But if yours is in "bad" shape, may want to slap a $10 or a $20 in the jar lol

I still do it myself, a little steam works wonders.

I always did my own, even buying a new hat, I didn't let them do it. I know how I want it. I am picky on my hat. Don't wear one much anymore.

Spray starch works pretty good in a pinch
