Pretty rough going- saw plenty of sign but no nilgai. I saw quite a few WT, including a decent 8pt, and a few yotes, javelina, and lots of quail. I tried sitting on dung, spot and stalk, and sitting on trail intersections with lots of sign. I stayed out all day each day. Only two shots were fired- this morning- so I'm hoping a father/son duo got one (shots were fired from their direction). Lack of water sure didn't help.
Oh well- was a great experience and I got to donate to my favorite charity in the process. I'm looking forward to the next time I get drawn, but in the meantime I'm hoping to find some place to hunt them. Those animals, and the terrain, definitely have my attention now.
