Five apple trees. Fuji, Anna, Arkansas Black, cant remember the other one. One Red Bud where the circle drive splits at the front gate.

We have to cage all of them. The deer are in the yard every night and they will eat them quickly with no cages.

In our timber we have native White Oak, Red Oak, Sawtooth Oak, Black Walnut, Honey Locust, Box Elder, Ash, Elm, Maple, Cottonwood, Mulberry, Hedge (horse apple), Hickory..... These are just the ones I have identified. I am sure there are many more species.

I actually having a friend bringing me a Mesquite from Buffalo Gap next time he comes this way. I got to have a touch of Texas here in the Heartland.

I probably don't know Iowa deer but that deer does not look young to me. Good Luck, awesome place you have, makes me want to move to the midwest!

We could be wrong, but we are pretty sure this deer was a 2.5 year 8 last fall. This deer spends a lot of time on our farm. We see him quite often. He seems to hang out in the same areas as the 8 last fall.
