This makes for a good excuse to upgrade to a GM style 1 wire alternator. Go from 50a to 130a, and a slightly larger case.

You have 2 choices:
Relocation of the seats, or find a console that is 8" wide.
Relocation of the seats is weird, because the steering wheel is no longer in the center of your seat.
8" console is a bit spendy, but worth it in the end. Tuffy is the brand I am familiar with, there may be others today.

Seats are aftermarket. I'm going to loosen them up and see if I have any wiggle room. They are crooked anyway.....

You and me both, amigo. I get harassed about being short all the time
Stock seats are pretty good, but hard to move around (same as late 60's Mustang). I ran seats from a mid 90's Camaro for a long while, they were comfy, and easy to mount. I made adapters to mount them to the stock adjustable seat mount out of some flat strap.
Now I have PRP suspension seats, and still trying to sort out how to mount them without being too tall.
I had forgotten about the Smittybilt console for the EB. They're less expensive. The consensus is that they are pretty decent , but not the same as the Tuffy.

Glad I did! Saw that I had left a socket on the crankshaft stub bolt.
No tellin where that dude would have landed after start-up....and at what rate of speed that it would have arrived there!!!
