    Refueling F-16

I filmed this over the Sea of Japan. Don't remember if we were heading to Okinawa or the Philippines on this trip. Standing behind the boom operator on a KC-10
Slowly getting my old VCR tapes digitized.

So how much fuel could that put in in 2 1/2 minutes?

Cool. The only time I've watched refueling from behind the boom operator, they were refueling a B-52.

If I remember correctly around 1000 gallons per minute. 7000 pounds internal and 5000 in two wing tanks.

Cool video, a bit of a tribute to the last ever f16 that rolled off the line just a month or so ago.

Cool video! The bomber factory really changed from '80 until I retired a couple of years ago.

Best jet I ever worked on.

                        Thanks for sharing those Ron.

I can recall going to Turkey in 1986 on a C-141 and watching the boom from the passenger area of the 141 looking up through the flightdeck.
