It sure seems like LaPiere has been lining his pockets with NRA money but how can we really know? The board of directors tried to challenge him and he came out on top. I'd be hesitant to renew my membership under the circumstances but I've been a life member for many years. On the plus side, the NRA was quick to denounce Dan Patrick's push for universal background checks. We still need the NRA to fight battles like this. GAO has no where near the clout of the NRA.
