    Need a book recommendation?

I'm reading this for the second time. Well worth it.

Jim Corbett tells his stories of chasing man eating tigers and leopards across northen India in the early 1900s.

Isn't the movie "Ghost in the Darkness" derived from one of his stories?

No that was John Patterson who killed the lions of Tsavao.

Corbett was an interesting fellow and had the stamina and guts to do what most men can only imagine.

Read all his stuff and Capstick wrote of him as well.

You aren't kidding. The amount of hiking he did in a day was amazing. He would go a day or two without food. He'd spend a cold night in a tree barely moving and never sleeping. He had some will power! Not to mention stalking mere yards from man eating tigers.

Corbett was the real deal! His sixth sense kept him alive more than once.
Although a great storyteller, Capstick might have been more full of $#+* than any other African author ever!

If you like books about cartels, cops and crime Look into Don Winslow. "The Cartel" is great, I just finished his new one "The Force" both are brutal but excellent reads.

I'm gonna look for the Corbett books. Sounds interesting.

My wife bought an old copy of Man Eaters of Kumaon for me as a gift. I was almost afraid to read it thinking it may start coming apart. I had wanted to read it for a long time so I just handled it carefully and hid it in the back of the bookshelf when I was done. Awesome read.
