Bora Bora Vacation?

    One of my co-workers honeymooned over there last year. It's definitely a bucket list place for many people, myself included.

    Although they did have fun and found the place to be absolutely beautiful, he did say they probably would never go again. Couple things he mentioned -

    1. Long flight after connection in LA
    2. Everything was expensive; literally a club sandwich at lunch was $25
    3. Over the water bungalow lost it's luster after a couple days. Water was also a bit deep where theirs was at.
    4. Spent a bit over $20K for the trip

    They didn't regret going there. It's just if you want tropical, you can spend half that and live like a king in one of many places in the Caribbean. Shorter flights, minimal time-change to boot.
