What’s your favorite small Texas town to visit?

And why? Looking through old photos and at the time it was Athens. Spending several summers with my Great Aunts. I sure enjoyed that town. It’s many years since I’ve been there (I know it’s grown alot since and not small anymore).

Always enjoy the small town of Leakey when we are out there on vacation. Takes me back to a simple way of life. It doesn't hurt one bit that it is down right beautiful, loaded with Indian artifacts and has the Frio River as its playground.

I've always enjoyed Glen Rose. Since my family has been involved since the inception of The Promise, Glen Rose and the surrounding areas played a big role in my childhood. Comanche Peak, Squaw Creek, Lake Granbury, the square in Granbury, Fossil Rim, Dinosaur State Park, etc.

        Great place to visit.

                  You don't live in Llano!

Pt Lavaca, pre Hurricane Carla, spent summers there growing up. Today somewhere in NW Texas.

I had a customer the other day with the same last name, he told me it was his family that settled there & named it

Luckenbach before it got all commercialized. Back when Marge was the boss. I spent many a Saturday afternoons there.

Luckenbach qualifies as a town? It's like 4 buildings lol I like the vibe of Luckenbach. Like walking in on somebody's family reunion. I would say Llano as well. Or maybe Hico

I enjoyed all them book stores up in Archer City. Didn't seem like much else to do there though...
