        I live in Bulverde as well and I can remember there being a few in our area for a long time. Never seen a buck, but several does. They are beautiful deer.

          We have a buck on the comal bexar county line. Saw him a couple years ago as a fawn. And he reappeared this year. But he was still to young to shoot

              Thanks for sharing.
              That area of Texas seems to have the market cornered on “black” deer.
              I saw two in Buda (Doe and fawn). 55 years of hunting and watching deer all over Texas and the only ones I have ever seen.

                Pretty good number in Caldwell county along Plum Creek near you in Seguin. Dr Baccus (retired wildlife professor at SWT) did a lot of research on them in that area.
