How is the rubber stopper attached to the rod or is it just a snug fit?

      Yes. Serving to come.
The stopper is just a really snug fit, especially with the shrink wrap. As a matter of fact, I had to slide the stopper into place on the bolt along with a toothpick to let the air escape from the hole in the stopper.

do you see the places around your peep sight and nocking point on the string that look like they have thread wrapped around the bowstring? Well, they do...it's called serving, and it keeps the bowstring from getting worn faster. Bowshops can do it. You can too, if you google it! Will need some tools, though.

I guess I should have asked what area do you put serving on. On the string area that would hit the stop?

I think it might be 5/16 - 24 fine thread.
