Could probably sell him if I had someone who wanted to pay for him. I really don't want to get into dealing with package hunts.

Do any of y'all currently hunt or have hunted near the Lampazos de Naranjo, NL area? I am eager to go check out a ranch down there sometime during the hunting season. I was just curious the quality of deer in that region. I've hunted near Sabinas-Hidalgo before, and I'd expect it to be pretty similar to that, backing up to some pretty high hills.

I hunted there for a few years. Haven't been to that area in about 3 years. Lots of huge ranches back in there between lampazos and progreso. Wide open country for as far as you can see. Biggest free ranging buck I've ever seen was back in there. Be ready for a drive. Reason we decided to get something closer was a good friend of mine was bit 10 times by a black widow while he was sleeping. Had to rush him to Laredo hospital where he spent 4 days in icu. Venom speacialist that treated him said another hour and he probably wouldn't have made it. That was enough to make us decide to get a place closer. If that wouldn't have happened we would still be there. Care to disclose the name of the ranch? We were on San Juan. Next to San Patricio, el jabali, palo blanco, monte verde and la Botija.

Great area. I hunted Horcones years ago. Saw some great deer.

Kruger, I hunted the San Juan between Anahuac and Lampazos last year. Did we hunt the same ranch, 8k acres?
