                  Put a self tappin screw through every joint in that awning hootus, and it will last a while. I'd drive a T post in next to every corner post and tie it down too. We have one like that.

                    Good idea on the screws. We are getting buds on a metal awning right now. Hopefully that will be gone soon

                          It's gonna be a welded up awning that can be turned into a barn/shed after we get rid of the camper. 24x40'.
