I grew up in Polk County between Rye and Ace and we are moving back just south of Livingston in 2 weeks. I can't wait to get back up that way! I'll definitely be setting a feeder up in the back of the new place asap. Hope y'all get a big ole Polk County bruiser this season.

I went to college with Jake's sister and brother-in-law (worked with 'em both for a while to). I need to try that place. They always post food pics on Facebook and it looks good.

I'll bite....I am a believer in oct 31 - nov 15 and each year the peak chasing days can vary. Seems like it gets earlier in the last few years.... like nov 5-7? Just my observations.

It's usually pretty good around last week of October for some reason at my place. The buck I killed on 10/01 this season was already stinking and his hocks were turning darker.

what effect did Harvey and the flood have on the overall deer hog population in East Texas?
