It's the baby boomer way of putting the blame for the economy and society they screwed up on others.

Then when they hit the real world and are told no, this happens.
Sad thing is they didn't chose to be given those trophies so the real people to blame is the ones raising these participation trophy babies.

We are getting closer and closer to a "Purge" situation. Seems that having an issue with anyone in today's world is met with a shooting.

What happened to a good old fight without having to kill them? Or the loser having to file a law suit for getting his/her butt whopped?

BURLESON, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a 17-year-old was fatally shot and his twin brother was wounded after they went to a North Texas school parking lot to have a fight with someone.

18-year-old Tristan Torres awaits arraignment in connection with the fatal shooting, according to the Burleson Police Department.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office says Cameron Lewis was pronounced dead Sunday morning after being taken to a hospital. He'd been shot in the head. Police say his twin was shot in the foot and his injury wasn't life-threatening.

Police say the gunman stopped on a street near the parking lot late Saturday night and fired several shots. Cameron Lewis was in a vehicle when he was shot. His brother was standing outside.

That happened in the back parking lot at Mound Elementary. My wife works at that school. Sad situation. From what my wife has been telling me, the kids all involved in it were decent kids too.

Since Violent crime is on a decline (outside of gang violence in certain areas), I would say we are not getting closer to a "Purge" situation. If anything, it would have happened decades ago. Then again, it's a ridiculous premise in the first place.

That is terrible. I can't imagine being that upset with anyone, much less a sibling.

Edit: Never mind. Misread it and thought the twins shot each other.

Figured someone would chime in like this. Of course it doesn't make it legit, nothing would. But sometimes you need to ask why people snap and no one ever wants to look at guys getting screwed during a divorce and X gets the kids and all the money. Or when they get denied jobs because of AA. Or the IRS takes everything...or on and on. Run a business and see how hard it is to not get sued. Get a business audit by the IRS etc.

The days of a good ole fist fight are long gone.

Yes, life is hard and unfair. When we do nothing to expose our kids to failure as children they are less equipped to deal with it as adults. I think someone was making that point above.
