I don't like the growth but still an awesome place. Ranked one of the USA'a top 10 small towns by travel magazine a few years back. Don't waste your time at Salt Lick unless you are just looking for atmosphere. Don't even think about the local joint either, Miss Mae's. San Marcos, Austin and Lockhart are all within an hour for the best in Texas BBQ. The best food in town is at on the square.
