Over Christmas break I picked up some African trophies for a friend to be mounted in a few months; and I had been tinkering with the ideal of scanning them and making miniature 3D models of them for gun safes, fridges, etc.
After scanning them to .stl files , cleaning them up in meshmixer they were printed in all white filament.
Next a little finish work to the horns and a neodynium magnet in the back and my buddy has his entire trophy safari in miniature on his gun safe!
I'm pretty happy with the first trial and think he is going to be happy with the little guys.
