Pretty amazing that the girl lived. She's been interviewed about it several times.

its important to examine bear droppings to know what type is in the area. you can wear small bells to alert black and brown bears, and use spray as deterrent. their droppings are largely buds, berries and grasses.

grizzly droppings typically contain bells, spray cans, and human bone.

That's not a black bear that is a grizzly. It would be scary to be treed by one but safest place to be bc grizzlies cant climb trees, they are just too big and heavy, blacks can climb trees and grizzly cubs can climb trees. Cool story thanks for shari it.

From what I have seen in the family, no personal experience thank god my wife is awesome, at least after a bear tears you apart they leave you be. Ex wives seem to let you heal, maybe even play nice, then do it again.

A 454 is what you need. Bear spray is a joke. As the guy in the article- he reached for it instead of his gun.

My son lives there, the locals carry Redhawk 454 Casuls in the woods.
