Hitch hoist cheap and simple 12 volt lighting

Bought the hoist at bucees for 100 bucks. It is HME brand. Parts I used are 1. 1/2 female threaded pvc bushing, 1. 3/4 slip to 1/2 male threaded pvc, 1. 3/4 pvc 90, adjustable outdoor light fixture arm, 12 volt led bulb from ebay, scrap piece of pvc and a flat plug trailer wire harness. I tapped the bushing into the hoist right above the gambrel. All of the wires will be ran from the fixture through the pvc and down through the tubing. I'll wire the positive and negative to the flat plug to supply voltage to my led. Ill update when complete.

That's a cool idea. I might have to add one to my lift. Thanks

        Nicely done!

This is what I use. Magnet is extremely strong and light is super bright and charges via usb. Just stick it to the top of the skinning rack.
