They both pitched **** well and the ump was fair on both sides for the most part.

For a 300 pound, nearly 45 year old, that most would call a has-been to shut down a World Series line up I would say he was the better pitcher. He got a first pitch strike on 19 batters i think, several 0-2 counts and was laid back doing it.

Great game and the ranger bull pen came through when the astros pen failed. Simple as that.

Verlander pitched better than Colon I thought. Colon was getting a W I D E and L O W strike zone....one cheap *** hr to Crawford boxes....great game to watch..

Astros bats are struggling now....last in AL with RISP at .150- that wont last but dang if their pitching hasn't been as dominate as it has they would have a losing record right now.
Cole had 14 K- no decision
Morton had 12 K- no decision
Verlander had 11 K- no decision

I would venture to say that has never been done before in 3 straight games

Turned the TV on late and only caught the last couple innings. Was switching between the Rockets and the Astros.. watched the bottom of the 9th and the stranded runners... ugh! That was painful. When I came back to a 3-1 game in the top of the 10th it was late and had to go to bed early. Watching the rockets last night was painful too.

And that "cheap *** HR" was a hanging mistake that Chirinos promptly put over the left field fence. The only thing cheap about it was the seat it landed in.

Seriously though... what exactly is a cheap HR? Like I always say, the batters get to swing at whatever is thrown at them... and it is the same distance to the yellow line for everybody.


Edit: Would have preferred the Stros on Root/ATT/639 and the rockets on ESPN... the calling on ESPN left much to be desired.
