Wow that is awesome. Good luck. I saw a bighorn ram the other day for the first time. It was right beside the interstate in the columbia river gorge in OR. Incredible animals.

Water is going to be a pain in the butt up there. Melting snow is ok but takes up a lot of fuel. I decided to sew up a black bag shaped like a funnel with a hole in the bottom. My hope is that I can hang it in the sun over a trash bag and melt down a bunch of snow without burning fuel. Testing it on the porch in the shade I am getting about a cup an hour. Hopefully it will do even better in direct sun.

Congrats on the awesome tag! That country is beautiful. I love hiking up there...I've seen bighorns every time. I can't imagine having your tag.

Congrats on the tag! I am working just west of orla on a rig and have been doing some hiking and checking out the area one days off before heading back to east Texas. I have got to see some mule deer and javelina this summer. Still want to see some kind of mountain goats and elk. I may be going up to Cloudcroft in a couple weeks. I hear the elk rut is around September in that area. Sure would be awesome hear them bugling for the first time.
