    Traditional Archery?

I have always wanted to try and learn to shoot traditional archery. I would like to buy a bow one day to start shooting at the Target at the house. Maybe one day even be able to shoot a deer with one in the distant future. I have a couple of questions for anyone that may be able to help:
    1. Which is better to learn on a longbow or a recurve?
    2. Is one harder to use than the other?
I appreciate anyone that may have some advice. Like I said I'm just curious about learning to shoot traditional.
    Thank you for looking.

It's really a personal preference between the two. I dont know that there would be any difference as far as one being easier to learn to shoot. The main thing you need to remember is get a relatively low poundage bow at first. 40-45lbs. and find someone to help you get some arrows tuned. This will shorten the learning curve a lot. Come visit the Traditional Forum, there is a wealth of knowlege there.
