Been Busted 4 Times Today

I’ve done my regular walk in. Scent control prep. Wind is almost none existent. A buck this morning busted me without even stepping out. 2 different groups of pigs and a doe this afternoon. I have no idea what’s different. The only new thing is that I used face point and I have my thermacell going. Is this it?

Face paint not unless it smells a lot... thermacell, maybe. I can smell it when running...

Not if your hunting the wind. They are gonna smell you downwind no matter what you do!

You cannot trick a deers nose. If they smell the facepaint they smell you, it is hunting. It happens. The wind is your friend. Have it blow your scent away

Thermacell will if you are not using the earth scent pads.

No wind is worse than wrong wind

No wind is not your friend.
I believe a light wind helps a lot of things. Helps disperse and weaken scent. Helps cover your movement sounds inside a blind. Helps take the deer's mind off of weak strange smells since it's blowing other smells all around.
I hate hunting a dead calm sit. Can't even bend over to spit or reach for more copenhagen.
Best thing I found a couple of years ago was this stuff called Evercalm scent stick. I smear it on my pants legs and boots and on the inside of my blind all around the window opening.
