I despise everyone in Congress and every president. There has not been a fiscally responsible government during my entire life.

Obama and Clinton actually reduced the deficit. Clinton actually balanced the budget with help of Republican Congress. The rest of everyone was spending like a drunken sailors starting with Reagan.

Reagan followed Jimmy Carter who ran the military into the ground. Reagan had to spend tons of money just to bring it back to standards.

I can see your point. But it's the product of a bad system. Think about it, if a jr congressman came back to his home district touting how he had reduced spending (read gov benefit) programs he could pretty much guarantee a failed re-election campaign. So what ensues is this shell game of reduce in a competitive district to so they can tout they cut "wasteful" spending, but boost spending in their own districts. It's an endless cycle. And no solution will ever come about until we have term limits, but what elected official is going to burn his own ticket on the gravy trail!

What's funny, is that I agree with you that the government should stay out of our business, our lives, and our wallets. However, the things you say make me think that you don't believe that at all. You want the government to make it so that everything is acceptable, even if it isn't acceptable to the vast majority of Americans. I suspected there was some sort of twist like this. But I still don't understand how you can increase the debt while reducing deficit. Debt is the aggregate of deficits correct?
