Over the last year, my wife, two of our sons, and I have began a quail raising project. We began with 8 layers, and then expanded to 21. We’ve been pickling eggs, then incubating and hatching them, and today we butchered 27 of our first quail produced for meat. Has been good for the boys (14 & 13) and for us and we love the pickled eggs and are looking forward to the meat.
