One of the best bear hunt stories from two years ago:

On the way to the stand-

Matt: Where do I shoot a bear if it comes walking in?
Jim: Are you serious, that's stupid, bears don't walk into the bait.
Matt: (after hunt) Dude, I shot a three legged bear that came walking into the bait. I thought is was a Yeti when I saw it up on the hill and thought to myself, my god I've only got two bullets.

Man I wouldn't know what to do if I watched one climb up to me like that. Probably start blowing at it hoping it'd shimmy back down! No sound here.. what'd you do to make it go back down? Yell at it?

Said, "Get outta here". He hauled butt back down, sat and looked up at me for a second.....and then went and ate the bait. Another hunter shot this bear two days later. Could tell from the white chevron on his chest that it was the same bear than came up on me. It was a cool experience, but I was pretty nervous while it was happening.
