    Minimum Hunting Acreage

Is there a minimum acreage required by law in Texas for bow hunting?

I know there is a 20 acre requirement inside city limits, but is there a minimum in the country?

    thanks

10 acre minimum requirment in the state of Texas.

              It's in your regs.

                  bowhunterhelm,

I found the reference in the regs about hunting in a subdivision with lots 10 acres or less if the commissioners prohibit it...but I can't find any reference to a minimun acreage set by the State....

                  thanks

I think if you have over 10 acres the municipality can't prohibit bowhunting. If you have less than 10, no deed restrictions, homeowner association restrictions, you're fine with whatever size property.

TXJon is correct. I looked into before I bought my property and have permission from the home owners to bowhunt only. Actually they beg me to kill deer every year. So thats what I do.

Depends how big the deer are..........

Depends on the weapon too. Remember, you can't shoot across property lines without consent.
