Coleman treasures

Not a Coleman but I found an old Dietz lantern hanging from the porch when we bought our property 12 years ago. Stuck it in the shed and basically forgot about it. Pulled it out the other day, cleaned it up, filled it with some torch fuel and it burns just fine. Still has the same wick that was in it when I put it up. Going to add it to the camping gear. Looks just like this one:

The water jug is name an Aristocrat. Limited edition. The personal engraving from the Mr. Coleman himself makes this a real collector.

Bringing this back up.

Sitting on the porch, and it's chilly out... So I decided to fire up my 3--70 heater, just to see If'n it still works.

Picked up a 242C this morning





Fount was under pressure but had some brown, slimy stuff mixed in with fuel

Guessing it was a water/rust sludge

Going to try and revive it

Looks like 2 6's on bottom, no double digit month year like the newer ones

That's a great find!!!! Love my 242B.
