New (to me) Lone Peak/Proof Custom!

I just picked this up and man I'm excited about it! Previous owner did some load development for it but it's only been hunted once. He shot it out to almost 1500 yards.

Built by Vestals Custom Rifles (worth checking out on facebook)
    7 SAUM
    Lone Peak Razor Ti
Proof Sendero Light 24" w/ removable break
    Timney Calvin Elite
AG Composite Carbon Fiber Stock w/ Duracoat
Non-HD VX6 3-18x50 (still have to order the exposed MOA turret for it)
Weight as it sits is 8lbs on the dot!

The first group pic was 5 175gr ABLR at 100 yds by the previous owner
The second pic was 3 168 vld at 100 by the previous owner

Can't wait to get out and shoot her!!

Sweet ride ! Do you know the twist in that barrel? I have a Bartlein .284 barrel sitting here and a 700 short action and I'm thinking about doing a SAUM. Only problem is it's an 8 twist.

Proof advertises that barrel to be 1-8.5. According to the previous owner the smith measured it and it's closer to 8.75 but you get the drift. I think you'd be fine with a 1-8, just shoot the 160+ gr bullets and stay away from the little guys.

That 8 twist will be perfect for a SAUM with heavies.
