    Colorado fires blow up

Folks , Northern Colorado could use your prayers right now.
Grand Lake, RMNR and Estes Park are in danger today from the East Troublesome Fire . It went from 9,000 acres to over 100,000 yesterday. All of northern forest is closed.
Seems fires may have been started by hunters not abiding by the fire bans, campers too.

Please , if you're headed to Colorado to hunt abide by any restrictions where ever you are. Very bitter cold front coming but watch for restrictions to get lifted before you start that fire for warmth.

Folks had to evacuate with little notice last night, many have lost everything. Fires have the chance to merge and burn into Estes Park and RMNP.
Very high fore danger down into SW Colorado too. Please make good decisions on your campfires.

This is Grand Lake last evening:

It is bad. Been watching live coverage on Denver TV. Many had minutes to get out. Hope your friends are ok.

There was smoke everywhere north of Steamboat, CO during our archery hunt. First time I've experienced that.

I just read RMNP is closed now.

We were just there a few weeks ago.

If only. It will add to some standing dead that will start falling a couple of years.

Read Granby is forced/mandatory evacuations now. That’s one of the few independent/family oriented ski spots left. Between this fire and spring Covid closures, that may kill that resort
