    Pistol Sight

    I have a S&W .44 mag 686.

I want to put some type of a red dot sight on it.

I want something that will point fast and work in low light.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Vortex 3 MOA. I have one on a Glock G40. Excellent red dot sight.

S&W never made a 686 chambered in .44 mag. Is it a custom gun?

          Trijicon RMR gen 2.
Auto brightening or adjust manually if you want more visibility. Very accurate on my Glock 19.

This. If money isn’t an issue.

              I wouldn’t trust anything less than a gen 2 RMR on a 44mag.

I would go one step further and skip the electronics all together. Get a dual source RMR (tritium + fiber optic).

Amazon has the plate you need to
mount it. Description says 500 but it will fit all large frame revolvers from K frame and up.

                  I’m thinking he meant 629.

                      Model 629 Sorry

I'm more of a recurve and long bow guy.

                        Thanks guys.

So how are these at say 10 yds trying to put down a hog? Is it nothing but a blur?

Can you do OK if it gets hairy and you need to point and shoot at closer ranges in a hurry?

I've killed around 6 deer and hogs, a turkey and a lot of small game out to 50 yards with a S&W 586 .357 open sights but age and eye sight is making me lean towards getting a different sight system.

Have to admit don't know a thing about them.

Had to get contacts to shoot my trad bows.

It takes a little getting used to, but they’re faster than irons once you get it figured out.
