2018 San Angelo surrounding area season thread.....

we were out there last weekend and sat afternoon evening we saw a huge lightning storm and several areas of smoke looked like fires had started we are in water valley close to the hudson ranch south of water valley

We are heading west Friday to do some heavy sweating. Got a few final thing to do at camp, fill feeders, check cams maybe put out some water.

It’s going to be hot and dry out there....I bet we get a lot done though.
The deer have really amped up on feed over the last few weeks.

didn’t think it was possible to amp up more than they were, I guess what little bit of green we had is totally gone again.

We got a random gift from God this Am. Big storm ran through Water valley area and made some nice puddles! Guy on the lease went up to fill feeders and sent us this

We got a smidgeon of rain on the last blowup. Caught the edge enough to make the dust dark and wet a coons back....I’ll take it but sure would have been nice to be in the center of that long storm. So close.

Had a very productive work weekend. Set up 2 Lamco free choice feeders and pens. It was hotter than hell but I’m glad we got everything topped off. I was able to set some coon traps and we got 9.
