I tow a 5500 lb boat with my f150 no problems. Not sure if itā€™s a fair comparison but thought I would mention it.

Absolutely. I tow one not much bigger than that with a diesel and it makes a night and day difference.

No question....a lighter truck is far more susceptible to the tail wagging the dog.

Have someone who knows what they are doing set it up.

(at a reputable trailer shop, not a trailer dealership..... )

Definitely, we just finished pulling a 26ft, 4500 lb dry wt, Jayco up through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho with a 5.7 Tundra. No issues and peace of mind.

I say absolutely. I pull a Jayco Jayfeather (3,000# dry weight) with my Tundra. I pulled it to my lease up near Lometa and it pulled "ok" without one. I got a smokin deal on here from txsurveyor (thanks brother) on a weight distribution/sway control set up. Brought it with me to the lease in June and installed it and set it up (learned from youtube...lol) and the pulled it to the Frio river and back. Made an absolute world of difference. It really did make the truck and trailer pull and feel as if everything one unit. Made it a pleasure to drive and felt infinitely more safe

I would get one of these.

Superior sway control technology makes it the best performing sway control hitch on the market, working to keep your family safe, every time you tow.

This is the only way to go, makes pulling a camper much safer!

                              Don't get one with chains!
