Will the magazines changeout or do I need to buy ones specific for the 6.5? On some sites I read you need to buy specific magazines for 6.5 grendel, some sites said you could use 5.56/223. What do the AR experts say on the GS!

Better off getting new mags made for the Grendel, Feed lips and follower are different for the larger diameter -

You can get a few (probably <5 rounds) in a 5.56 mags but it will bulge the mags and feed reliability will be iffy.
