    Ithica 22 lever action

I found this in the classifieds a few weeks ago. The add said free parts gun. I received it with the butt stock off, rear sight missing, the receiver painted olive drab and with a sandwich bag full of parts.
I traded the owner a hand made hunting knife because even a broken gun has value.
After watching a fairly well made video, the only video for this model I could find and studying hard to read, fuzzy explode diagrams and buying about $65 in parts from Numrich and sand blasting away the olive drab and putting on a proper rattle can finish. Here it is.

              Yes and no!
I shot it but the extractor spring broke so took it back apart, just installed the new spring and cycled a bunch of bullet through it but have not fired it yet.

Dang. That's too bad. I'd get rid of it if I were you. Sell it for what you have into it. I'll send you a check and my mailing address in a few minutes, and I'll dispose of it properly for you so you don't have to keep tinkering with it. You shouldn't have to suffer like that.

On a more serious note - Great looking piece. You did a great job on it. I hope it shoots very well for you and gives you many years of shooting enjoyment!

                All the best,
                Glenn
