Some phones and/or providers require you to call in to set it up.

We have a metal building at work. No service to one bar. Tried an antenna booster and would get 1-2 bars but calls would still drop. Someone told me about Wi-Fi calling and how to turn it on. Zero issues at all!

    This is what you want

Wow didn't know about this! Will it allow me to receive inbound calls off of Wifi?

Yes. You can place and receive calls. It uses the Wi-Fi "service" as cellular "service". Same way Facetime works.

Once you turn it on, you'll have to set up your "emergency address" with a physical address. When you call 911, the address you set it up with will show up on the dispatch computer system. I have mine set up for my home address because I don't have a landline at home.

I went to settings then Cellular. I don't see an option to turn Wi-Fi calling on or off. I have an I-phone 6+

                6+ should be:

                Settings
                Phone
                Wi-Fi calling ON

Make phone calls with Wi-Fi when you have little or no cellular coverage.

Pretty crazy how phone companies never really did advertise this. Evidently it's been around for a few years and I didn't find out about it until a year ago.
