My brothers put his in the oven and ran the oven on clean mode. It crusted everything old off. He scrubbed it and re seasoned it and it looked brand new.

I love cooking on the disc. I have been wanting to use my dutch oven outside, maybe i will give it a try now.

I am no stranger to cast iron, I have just been thinking of doing a super slick finish on a couple pieces that need to be seasoned. Just to see if the hype is worth the effort.

Cobbler's are good in the DO and have made them for years. This year I decided to change things up and been making Bread Pudding. It takes longer to prep but worth the extra effort.

I would look into the electrolysis method of cleaning if its pretty bad. It's easy and takes a lot of the elbow grease out of the process. I have a customer that does it quite often with great results.

Main course for today was prime rib in the Dutch oven... I think it was my best prime rib ever... made gravy with the drippings... It was a big hit!
